Privacy Policy
Blossom Bliss cares a great deal about your privacy. We therefore only process data we need for (improving) our services and handle the information we have collected about you and your use of our services with care. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes.
This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the services offered through it by Blossom Bliss. The effective date for the validity of these terms is 21/07/2024; with the publication of a new version, the validity of all previous versions lapses.
This privacy policy describes which data about you is collected by us, what this data is used for, and with whom and under which conditions this data may be shared with third parties. We also explain how we store your data, how we protect your data against misuse, and which rights you have regarding the personal data you provide to us.
If you have questions about our privacy policy, you can contact us — you'll find the contact details at the end of our privacy policy.
About the data processing
Below you can read how we process your data, where we (have it) stored, which security techniques we use, and who can access the data.
Web hosting
Our website is hosted on a server of Hetzner in Amsterdam. Hetzner processes personal data on our behalf and does not use your data for its own purposes. This party may collect metadata about the use of the services, however. This is not personal data. Hetzner has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent loss and unauthorised use of your personal data. Hetzner is bound to confidentiality under the agreement.
Payment processors — Mollie
To handle (part of) the payments in our webshop we use the Mollie platform. Mollie processes your name, address and place of residence and your payment details such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to further improve its services and, in that context, to share (anonymised) data with third parties. All the safeguards mentioned above regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of Mollie's services for which it engages third parties. Mollie does not retain your data longer than is permitted under the statutory periods.
Shipping and logistics — MyParcel
When you place an order with us, it is our task to have your parcel delivered to you. We use the services of MyParcel to carry out the deliveries. For this it is necessary that we share your name, address and place of residence with MyParcel. MyParcel uses this data only for the purpose of performing the agreement. In the event that MyParcel engages subcontractors, MyParcel also makes your data available to these parties.
Invoicing and bookkeeping — e-Boekhouden.nl
To keep our administration and bookkeeping we use the services of e-Boekhouden.nl. We share your name, address and place of residence and details regarding your order. This data is used to administer sales invoices. Your personal data is sent and stored securely. e-Boekhouden.nl is bound to confidentiality and will treat your data confidentially. e-Boekhouden.nl does not use your personal data for purposes other than those described above.
Your order
When you place an order, we keep a record of it in our own administration: your name, email address, phone number and delivery address, together with the items, the amounts and the payment status. We need this to fulfil your order, to see what has been sold and to help you if something goes wrong with your parcel. This data sits on our own server in Amsterdam and is accessible only to Blossom Bliss. We do not create customer accounts: apart from your order, we record nothing about you.
After a successful payment we send you a confirmation of your order. That email is sent through the Blossom Bliss mail provider, which processes your email address and the contents of the message for that purpose. We do not use your email address for newsletters or advertising.
Purpose of the data processing
General purpose of the processing
We use your data exclusively for the purpose of our services. That means that the purpose of the processing is always directly related to the assignment you give. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share data with us and we use this data to contact you at a later time — other than at your request — we will ask for your explicit consent. Your data is not shared with third parties, other than to comply with bookkeeping and other administrative obligations. These third parties are all bound to confidentiality under the agreement between them and us, or an oath or statutory obligation.
Automatically collected data
Data that is automatically collected by our website is processed with the aim of further improving our services. This data (for example your IP address, web browser and operating system) is not personal data.
Cooperation with tax and criminal investigations
In certain cases, Blossom Bliss may be obliged under a statutory obligation to share your data in connection with a tax or criminal investigation by the authorities. In such a case we are forced to share your data, but we will resist this within the possibilities the law offers us.
Retention periods
We keep your order for as long as we need it to fulfil and settle it, including the warranty and return period, and for as long as we need it for our administration. We are also legally required to keep invoices bearing your name and address for seven years for the Dutch tax authority; those live in our bookkeeping. We do not create customer profiles: apart from your order and its invoice, we record nothing about you. If you would like us to delete your data, let us know. We will then delete everything that is not covered by a statutory retention obligation.
Your rights
Under applicable Dutch and European law, you as a data subject have certain rights regarding the personal data processed by or on behalf of us. We explain below which rights these are and how you can invoke them. In principle, to prevent misuse, we only send transcripts and copies of your data to the email address already known to us. In the event that you wish to receive the data at a different email address or, for example, by post, we will ask you to identify yourself. We keep records of handled requests; in the case of a request to be forgotten, we administer anonymised data. You receive all transcripts and copies of data in the machine-readable data format we use within our systems. You have the right at all times to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority if you suspect that we are using your personal data in the wrong way.
Right of access
You always have the right to view the data we (have) processed and that relates to your person or is traceable to it. You can submit a request to that effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send a copy of all data to the email address known to us, with an overview of the processors that hold this data, stating the category under which we have stored this data.
Right to rectification
You always have the right to have the data we (have) processed and that relates to your person or is traceable to it amended. You can submit a request to that effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send a confirmation that the data has been amended to the email address known to us.
Right to restriction of processing
You always have the right to restrict the data we (have) processed and that relates to your person or is traceable to it. You can submit a request to that effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send a confirmation to the email address known to us that the data will no longer be processed until you lift the restriction.
Right to data portability
You always have the right to have the data we (have) processed and that relates to your person or is traceable to it carried out by another party. You can submit a request to that effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send to the email address known to us transcripts or copies of all data about you that we have processed or that have been processed on our behalf by other processors or third parties. In all likelihood, in such a case we will no longer be able to continue the services, because the secure linking of data files can then no longer be guaranteed.
Right to object and other rights
In certain cases you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by or on behalf of us. If you object, we will immediately cease the data processing pending the handling of your objection. If your objection is well founded, we will make transcripts and/or copies of data that we (have) processed available to you and thereafter permanently cease the processing. You also have the right not to be subject to automated individual decision-making or profiling. We do not process your data in a way that makes this right applicable. If you believe that we do, please contact our contact person for privacy matters.
Cookies
Google Analytics
Through our website, cookies are placed by the American company Google, as part of the “Analytics” service. We use this service to track and obtain reports about how visitors use the website. This processor may be obliged under applicable laws and regulations to provide access to this data. We have not permitted Google to use the analytics information obtained for other Google services.
Third-party cookies
In the event that third-party software solutions use cookies, this is stated in this privacy statement.
Changes to the privacy policy
We reserve the right at all times to change our privacy policy. On this page, however, you will always find the most recent version. If the new privacy policy affects the way we process data already collected about you, we will notify you by email.
